Now shipping Rung — our OT engineering agent

AI for the systems that run the physical world.

Ashigo builds AI agents for operational technology — software that works alongside the engineers who keep plants, grids, and factories running. Built for the real constraints of OT: live control systems, sensitive data, and networks that can't trust the cloud.

What we build

Agents that earn their place on the plant floor.

General-purpose AI stops at the IT boundary. We start where it ends — with the protocols, the safety posture, and the trust model that operational technology demands.

OT-native intelligence

Speaks industrial protocols and plant context out of the box — Modbus, OPC UA, historians, PLC platforms — and acts directly on the engineer's machine, read-only by default.

Trust by architecture

Your data and capabilities stay under your control. No single AI vendor sees a full task, IT decides what each terminal may do, and nothing sensitive is required to leave the site.

Deploys anywhere

A single, self-contained binary for locked-down Windows, Linux, and ARM terminals. No runtime to install, works offline — from connected sites to fully air-gapped plants.

Our thesis

The agent revolution skipped the industrial world.

AI agents transformed knowledge work this past year. But the people who run physical infrastructure — water, energy, pharma, manufacturing — were left out, for good reasons that nobody had solved.

  • Generic tools don't speak OT and can't safely touch a live control system.
  • Sending raw plant data to a third-party cloud is exactly what OT security exists to prevent.
  • A retiring workforce is taking decades of plant knowledge with it.

Trust, engineered in

Security teams approve, because the architecture earns it.

We don't ask plants to take privacy on faith. It's enforced by design, at every layer.

Split-trust data tier

Raw plant data is distilled by a separate provider before the reasoning model ever sees it — so no single AI vendor holds a full task. Region-routed, and it fails closed.

On-site relay

An optional in-plant proxy lets IT toggle exactly which capabilities each terminal may use. It holds no vendor secrets and runs entirely inside your network.

One-way data-diode mode

For air-gapped sites: the terminal only sends. Answers appear on a separate page the operator reads — letting the most secure plants on earth use AI for the first time.

Rung

The AI agent for OT engineers.

Diagnose networks, read Modbus and OPC UA, parse historians, and walk troubleshooting playbooks — in plain language, from a single terminal. Our first product, and the foundation everything else builds on.

Who it's for

Built for the people who keep production running.

Control engineers

Cut time-to-resolution on PLC faults, comms drops, and deployment failures — with an expert that already knows your stack.

SCADA & platform admins

Tune historians, untangle Aveva System Platform issues, and make sense of logs without paging the one person who remembers.

OT security teams

Finally say yes to AI — with capability controls, read-only defaults, and a data path you can audit and air-gap.
